Emma Brown Tweed

Since I was a fan of Emma Brown Tweed, I felt the need to go and try her products and clothing. I knew they were nice clothing, but I was amazed at how good quality they are ! I would definitely recommend these products to anyone who loves a nice piece of Tweed, both men and women.

I first tried these out when I went down to Andy Crow's Farm in the summer. I wore the Emma Brown Tweed Skirt and Waistcoat with the bow. I absolutely loved the waistcoat as it gave that girly touch, which I'm absolutely in love with ! The skirt is also a lovely piece, which looks beautiful and compliments the womanly figure.

Also, seen as though it's Christmas, Emma's tweed is a perfect christmas gift. If you would like to buy any of Emma Brown's Tweed it is available on her new website, www.emmabrowntweed.co.uk , Which is new and updated and is sure to help you with any inquiries and to browse the line of handmade tweed Emma produces.  I love seeing all the purchases you have made with Emma Brown Tweed !

Here are some more photos of when I wore the tweed.

My Sponsored Gun: The Lincoln Premier Compact

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been posting regular, I've just been so busy !

This is quite a special blog post to me, as I am talking about my gun of choice and  amazing sponsorship. I have been in love with my gun since the day we collected it from my fantastic sponsor of John Rothery Wholesale Ltd, which the services and standard of professionalism is outstanding, I highly recommend them for a gun supplier.

I own, use and enjoy the Lincoln Premier Compact, which still makes me very proud to this day. It is a lightweight and compact gun, which suits the youth or womanly figure but also can be useful for walk-up shoots, if you wanted a lightweight gun as a male or female. In my opinion, this gun is perfect to bring young people, like myself into the sport. This gun has helped me achieve my goals within clay and game shooting, which has made me achieve positive results with my coach Linda Grayson. Also. this gun has never let me down, which shows it is well made and shows reliability within the gun.

In addition, it is very easy to clean and take apart. I clean my gun using my Bisley products that never fail to clean my gun perfectly.

They are all factors that set Lincoln shotguns apart from all the rest. The Lincoln brand is certainly the one to watch and I'm passionate to promote the brand. Overall, this gun is a fantastic all round gun, I shoot well with it on game and its my favourite gun on the clays, no hesitation.

Here is what to expect with purchasing the Lincoln Premier Compact:

NEW "Compact" model features 28" barrels and a shortened stock with rubber ventilated recoil pad - the perfect shotgun for youth or lady shooters
  • A dedicated action size for 20G - no more shooting a 20G on an oversized 12G action
  • Proofed for steel shot
  • 3 year warranty
  • Long stroke selective ejectors
  • Single selective trigger
    •  Special three-alloyed steel barrels, machined from bored bars
  • Internally chromed bore and chambers for improved lifespan and better shot distribution
  • Chequered, ventilated upper rib with anti-flare finishing
  • Fine pitch laser chequering with double grip pattern.

  • Whether you have been shooting for years or new to the sport, I think that this gun would be a great addition to anyone's gun cabinet. I already have my eye on another Lincoln gun when I progress further called the Lincoln Vogue. Go take a look on John Rothery/ Bisley.

    York Guns

    York Guns
Image result for york guns ltd
Yesterday, on my way back from my lesson, we took  a trip to York Guns. I had never visited this gun shop before (although my Mum and Dad have bought guns previous) and I was surprised to their level of knowledge and customer service. They understand what an individual wants and gives them the perfect advice in purchasing a gun or sporting supplies.

I was really surprised to their attitude towards the young shots, like myself. They have already said that they are interested in sponsoring more young people into getting into this fantastic sport. I look forward to seeing what help they can give me, however small, it goes a long way.

My Dad bought a new "Beretta 692 black" after trading in his "Beretta Silver Pigeon 1" and the "Beretta A391" which was also originally bought from York Guns. This shows that with their expertise and great customer service, that they attract repeat business. Whilst we were there, my little sister, who is 10 years old, who has always been an avid air rifle shooter, we managed to come across an excellent "Adler 410, single barrel" which as a family we are very excited to bring her into the shotgun sport.

Keep posted for the next outing as a family of four with our shotguns !

A big thank you to York Guns for being knowledgeable in the shooting and sporting industry and understanding people's specific requirements in this field, giving us the confidence in their expertise and allowing us to move forward as the next generation of shooters.

A week down at Andy Crow's farm

A week down at Andy Crow's farm.

    Hi blog readers!
Hope you are all well !

I feel so lucky to have had the great experience of going down to Andy's farm this summer, words cannot describe how thankful I am to both Andy and Michelle. We went deer stalking, lamping for fox and rabbits and I shot in the hide with Andy shooting pigeons and jackdaws.

I already know how to gut and prepare rabbits, gamebirds, etc... but I never have experienced how to gut a deer. It had a very unusual smell, but I learnt if you burst the intestines the smell intensifies. It was fascinating watching Andy gut the deer and show me how its done and eventually they go to a game dealer after cooling off for a set period. I can take this experience for future deer stalking! We saw some bucks, fallow deer and roe deer but we left the female so they could reproduce offspring. We shot all fallow deer and we even got a black one, which I never knew existed. We got 8 altogether, which I never thought I'd experience at 12 years old.

We saw several rabbits using the red lamp and we also saw a few fox also using the same technique with Andy's fox call he made himself, which is quite simple, a piece of glass, which has to be wet to work properly and a piece of polystyrene.

I also shot in the hide with Andy. We made a hide out of hay bales, Jack pyke hide poles and camouflage netting and foliage. We came across jack daws and pigeons, although there was more jackdaws than pigeons. I've not shot crows before and I didn't realise how hardy they were to bring down. Again, it was fascinating to be in the hide and see how Andy shoots and I took away some great advice. It was a fantastic experience as I have seen him on Field Sports Channel and I got to experience watching him in real life. I used the Gamebore Regal-20 gauge- diamond shot.
Afterwards, I cleaned my gun with my Bisley gun cleaning products.

I couldn't've asked for a better week and keeping my six week holidays entertained. I can't thank Andy and Michelle enough for all their support and I didn't want to leave. They are very supportive and have became the bestest of friends.

    Ladies Shooting Day

Ladies Shooting Day- hosted by Linda Grayson at Mickley Hall.

Hi blog readers, hope you are all well !
Last week, as many of my Facebook friends would know,  I attended a fantastic event at Mickley Hall shooting ground. I was invited by the lovely Lara Dale who came to see and talk to us while on the stands. Mickley Hall is a fantastic ground and has a range of different sporting traps, but it was my first time visiting the ground.

I was very nervous at first but I realised there was no pressure at all and the other ladies were all lovely. Linda, CPSA's instructor of the year, was hosting the day and she was also fantastic and had lots of great tips and advice. Surely everyone on the day took home some great advice to smash clays in the future and went home with  a big smile on their face as they all shot brilliantly !

We figured my gun was too light so I tried a 12 gauge but it was just a bit too big for me at the minute. We decided to but some led on my gun barrels and make the stock heavier too. This made a massive different and I'm definitely hitting more targets with my gun ,adjusted in weight.

It was a really enjoyable day and full of smiles. I hope everyone enjoyed it too, I'm sure they did ! Linda wanted to see me personally for a lesson, which I attended yesterday and I will talk about it in a different blog.

    Beverley CTC and Rachel Carrie

A day at Beverley CTC and Shooting with Rachel Carrie

Hi, how are you all doing ?

At the weekend I went for a lesson with Hamish at Beverley CTC, who I highly recommend. I have been for two previous lessons with him, my first, for my birthday which was a great surprise birthday present. He corrects any bad habits I pick up and this weekend it was based around gun mount and sight picture. I have also learnt the right stance and shooting with both of my eyes open. I also write all the things I have learnt in a book, like revision notes really, so I don't forget.

I was also shooting Cheddite cartridges. They were really good and I really suited to them ! I will be using them more often!

So after my lesson had finished I went and got a drink and an ice cream because it was a red hot day ! Then after, Rachel Carrie had come to say hello. I was really thrilled by this, she made a great day to an even better one ! She went to go shoot OT (for anybody who didn't know, Olympic trap) and we were shooting at the layout at the side of her. She came over  while I was shooting and gave me lots of tips and advice as I normally shoot skeet but these targets were kind of hard ! Her advice was amazing and helped me dust some clays ! After, my dad, godfather and Rachel went and did a round of OT, my dad and godfather hadn't tried a discipline like this before, but my dad was pretty good at it !

I went home with a big smile on my face ! :)
    Here are some pictures !

    A Happy Half- term

    A Happy Half-Term

    Howdy, how you all doing?
Sorry I haven't been uploading blogs because we have been on holiday and decorating the bedrooms. So, because this half term has been absolutely fantastic, I'm gonna write about it !

So, when we first broke up for the holidays I was excited... Finally a full week off ! wahoo! So, I got home and packed for the holiday and put it in the car. the car was jam packed! I couldn't wait to see our camping friends. We have a caravan and we were towing the caravan on the back of the car and on our way to a new campsite which involved fishing. Thanks Julie for suggesting this, it is a brilliant campsite. Around the campsite there were lots of VERY cute dogs, including ours lol. Our camping friends, which I will do a full blog about, went and I love them all. We are all into the same things which is lovely and we all get on great ! While they were fishing, I decided to go sit with a book, with my mum and read while watching my Dad fish because there were no more spare rods. My Dad asked me to watch the float while he went to get a beer out of the fridge and he was walking back and I just caught one... it only happened to be the biggest one of the lot haha.

So, we loved the site so much we decided to leave the awning and the caravan up and come back the following weekend !

In the week I didn't really do much except doing my bedroom because me and my sister are switching bedrooms, so I finally get the bigger bedroom, Yay ! When I have my bedroom done I'm having it hunting themed obviously ! I got the wallpaper off of my old wall and have to sleep in my sisters room. She does not stop snoring !

So, it was now the weekend ! I packed my clothes and did the same again but the car wasn't as full this time as we left half of it at the caravan. We was back with our caravan family ! We did lots and it was sunny too so we were sitting in the sun on the chairs listening to the Ibiza tunes on the speaker. I had lots of cuddles with the dogs and lots of chats about going abroad ! Exciting !  Also, the youngest kid is Ava, she is 4, she is so cute and lovely and I found some of my shopkins and gave them to her and she didn't stop playing with them. This was an amazing weekend too. With everybody, they make them the best holidays !

Wow, I just realised how much exclamation marks I have used lol.

This weekend I am going to a sleepover with my bestest friends. I'm so excited ! Also, I am going shooting the morning after. All exciting !

See you in the next blog :)
Any comments will be appreciated Xoxo

All about the Tweed ! #EmmaBrownTweed

    All about the Tweed #EmmaBrownTweed

Hey guys ! Hope you are all well.

Image may contain: one or more people, people standing, dog, sky, outdoor and natureOne of the hardest things I find topic of conversation is the difficulties of finding lovely fitting tweed that is stylish. Its either no choice in tweed and colour or the fitting is unflattering and baggy......

......LOOK NO FURTHER ......#EmmaBrownTweed is a up and coming company that listens to each and every customer needs and tailors her service and end products to perfection. This is not your ordinary clothing theirs has designer feel about it... I personally am a great lover of tweed coats and waistcoats take a look at her Facebook and Instagram pages like and follow to keep up to date with all these new fabulous designs. The beauty about Emma Brown Tweed is for example her willingness to ask and take on board the customer she asks in her latest Facebook post what do you want to see ?

This to me is an excellent way of engaging with her clients who lets face it "we are important" Emma then uses her talent and expertise to create some outstanding pieces of clothing.

A great example of her work is her New Shooting vest, it has calf suede detail for that extra special soft feel. It has large double pockets for those cartridges to sit comfortably when on a shoot, and an amazing chest expander so this jacket will take you through all the seasons with the room for extra layers underneath. The detail on the back is my favourite with a pleated back it will make any size figure look glamorous. The silk WOW ... the lining Is exquisite its is beautifully patterned and the edging is stitched so well its flawless I especially like the cartridge and bird lining you can see the Emma starting the design on her Facebook page.

Take a look the webpage is www.emmabrowntweed.co.uk go on treat yourself......

My absolute favourite is this little waistcoat with the bow for more ideas and a look into this lovely ladies creative design follow this gem on Facebook, Instagram and through her web page thanks for reading and don't forget guys these will make the BEST pressies for the ladies in your life...

    The Shooting Shows !

    The Shooting Shows !

Hi again ! Hope you are all keeping well !

I have been to two shows recently, The Northern Shooting show and The Great British Shooting Show. The Great British Shooting Show was bigger obviously because it's the pinnacle of shooting shows. People from all around the world go for the greatness and pleasure of the show. I met the Elites from the game shooting world to the fantastic Olympians that represent our country in the Olympics. It was amazing and a great honour to meet my inspirations.

First, I met Andy and Michelle Crow, who are both such a lovely couple and it was an absolute pleasure to meet them both as we'd only been talking on Facebook and said we would meet at the shooting show in February. It was weird as I'd only been watching him on YouTube, on Field sports channel. After meeting at the shooting show we have created such a bond that I never thought I would have with people like them. It has instilled my passion in shooting and with the support from them Andy and Michelle it made me believe that anything is possible and I am now going to try my hardest not just for my mum and dad but for Andy and Michelle as they also believe in me.
Then Andy and Michelle took me to meet Rachel Carrie and Mark Winser. I was so nervous but when I met Rachel but when I started talking to her I realised she was so down-to-earth and also we are from the same home town! She also had her puppy with her called Doris and it was a fox terrier. She was so cute it was unreal ! Mark and Rachel were giving me fantastic advice with my shooting and inspired me along with Andy and Michelle. to get my next gun and I never thought this would lead me into getting my next gun especially a sponsor and a gun sponsored by John Rothery and I thank Andy and Michelle for getting me to achieve my goals in life. I have always wanted to be a vet and in the summer we are going to Andy's farm where we will see a side of outdoor living that we never thought we'd see.

This is a snap chat of me and Rachel.(I'm forever using the dog filter lol) We was twinning with Doris ! Same as Andy it was weird to meet her too as I have watched her on YouTube and the TV. Also, go and watch Jodie Marsh goes Hunting which is a documentary where Jodie Marsh, anti-hunter and vegetarian experiences hunting with Rachel and Andy as they explain the sustainability of Hunting and the reason behind it all. I also met her Mum and Dad, Christine and Dave Carrie and they are both lovely people too. In fact, the whole hunting community is so respectful.

Also, it was great meeting Amber Hill, Olympic shooter who competed at Rio 2016. She inspires me as this is where I want to be. She is a lovely person and a fantastic shooter ! Also she is very relatable to me as she is into Makeup and fashion but is also in love with shooting. Go follow her on her social medias too because she is such an inspiration. As she also takes you through her experiences like competitions and also shows you her makeup which she has bought and fashion look-book kind of photos.

Hope you enjoyed reading this blog and any comments will be appreciated :)

    My First Gun !

    My First Gun !

Hi again! Hope you are all ok !
So today I'm going to write about my first gun because I'm going to share my experience with you all about my shooting in stages. I also am going to answer any one's questions left in the comments  too and I'm going to try and make people understand more about hunting/shooting. I also want to get more young people into the sport as I think we should all have an outdoor experience and lifestyle whether it's Hunting, shooting, beating or even walking and appreciating the outdoors. So, hope you enjoy !

Here is me in the hide, game shooting, with my first gun. So, I got my first gun from Brian, the beat owner. He told us that the gun had gone through generations as he has taught lots of people with that gun as it was an instructing gun. When I got this I was really excited I felt like a coke can that had been shook up ! It was a nice little gun to start off with. Thank you Brian, if you're reading this !

    The Remington 1,100.

It was a great gun- a 20 gauge semi-automatic. I first took this gun out at Doveridge clay shooting ground and that's where I saw the Olympic shooter Lara Dale and we were talking to each other on Facebook about shooting. She is a fantastic shooter ! Also, we saw Brody Woolard there too and they are both inspirations to me as Lara shows girls can shoot too and Brody is a great example too
as his dad also instructed him but now he has his own instructor, like myself,  and is well-known in the shooting community. These are also inspirations to me as well as Andy Crow and Rachel Carrie too, which I will do  full blog posts about soon.

This is a picture of me at Doveridge the first time I shot this gun.

It wasn't a very clear day as you can see but it didn't ruin it ! I still tried my hardest. My dad was my first instructor as you can see and he helped me as well as my mum, godfather and Ian. I am very thankful for all of their advice as this has made me succeed throughout my shooting.

Thank you for reading my blog and any comments will be appreciated.

Who let the pups out ?

Who let the Pups out ?

So, this was an experience ! Delivering two puppies at 11 year old ?
well I'm glad I can say that I did ! It was interesting because I wanted
to be a vet and delivering some of the pups and looking after them was great !

There was seven altogether! This was a snap chat I took. They all just had a small bath and were all cuddling up to each other so I took it at a good moment because most of the time they didn't stop still or they make a squeaking sound. We bought a proper cage for Jess to have her puppies in which was huge and we packed it with plenty of blankets for jess and the puppies to make a kind of nest. Also as you can see, they loved toys !

This is Jess, The Mum of the pups. We bred her with the South Yorkshire police stud dog "Max". He is beautiful dog like Jess and we knew that Max was the perfect dog. So, we went to the owner's house and they had some other lovely dogs and we went into the house and the woman shown us lots of pictures of her dogs, they were all so cute ! So yeah it went on from there ...
So, I came home from school one day and jess had started to make a nest for her puppies and the night before we could feel the puppies kicking ! It was so weird but cute at the same time ! So, the first one came and I didn't expect them to be so small ! So, from then on that night we were delivering the pups but they came out in like a blue sack but Jess ate that and I didn't like that part ! Ewww ! Anyway there were seven altogether and that night there were lots of cuddles and I got it on my camera. We gave them all names: Dotty, Specales, Gun, Minnie, Runty, toby and Dash. They all have different names now and all have brilliant owners !

    It was magical ...!

My Dogs, My Shooting Buddies <3

Jess, Pippin, Bonnie and Dotty !

So here are my doggies. Each one has their own different strengths and abilities. They are all absolutely amazing and beautiful and I love them to bits ! We try and get what's best for them in order for them to have the best life! I always say "Treat your dog like you would treat yourself" which I think is very true. My mum says they are her babies. We are a family of four and we all have a dog each basically.

Jess is the eldest of them all.  Although we used to have a boxer dog called "Bonnie" (I know we already have a dog called Bonnie but I'll explain later). She is a brown springer spaniel. Jess is very good at flushing birds, where she gets any birds off the field flying into the air, and picking, which is finding the birds when they have been shot. She also acts very motherly to all the other dogs. She is my dad's shooting dog. She is very beautiful and always stands very proud all the time.

Bonnie is the third eldest dog of ours and she is my hunting dog. She is a black cocker spaniel. She is my absolute world and makes me happy every time I look at her. So even though we already had a dog called Bonnie, my dog is called this because we didn't get her as a puppy. On the shoots people were saying to my mum and dad that I needed a dog because I would always take the dogs that people couldn't manage if they had too much dogs to walk and they said I was really good with them and one day my mum and dad said I had £800 to go on pets for homes to buy a cocker, springer or sprocker spaniel. So I came down from my bedroom and say I wanted this 12 month old black cocker. They was confused to why I didn't go for a puppy but I explained her owner had nearly gone blind in both eyes. From then on I've loved her very, very, very, much!

Pippin is the second eldest dog of ours. She is a black springer spaniel. She is my mum's hunting dog, who is very affectionate as you can see in this picture. You cant really see pippin  in this picture but this just shows how lovely she is. She is a very good pen dog which means she stays stood at the side of you when you are shooting and doesn't move but still watches and observes where the birds drop. Although she is a fully grown springer she still has a puppy face.

Here is Dotty, the puppy of our family. She is basically my sister's as she didn't have a dog. She is actually jess' dog which I will write the full puppy experience in another blog. She looks so similar to jess, she's like a clone. She is very mischievous but very cute at the same time. She could get away with everything. When we make a fox call noise dotty puts her ears up like she has in this picture and its adorable!
